We are a 501(c)(3) Colorado non-profit institution. Our mission is to fund programs that have a significant chance of improving the odds of a successful AI transition. We fund AI safety research and public education.
By far the most important thing you can do is write or call your representatives and let them know that you think it is important for them to pass and fund a AI safe transition bill and to not to politicize a safe AI transition. It only takes a few minutes but it makes a big difference.

What points should I communicate?
Humanity will only go through the AI transition once, yet we are spending virtually nothing on a safe transition. We only have one chance to get it right.
The transition to AI has thousands of issues that need to be solved, but we only have 400 to 1000 people working full-time on these problems.
Making this investment is like an insurance payment. If we make it, we will probably be fine. If we don’t, we may be in serious danger.
The federal debt is currently expected to be $52 Trillion by 2033. If we spend an extra $1 Trillion over that period ($100 Billion per year) it would increase our national debt by less than 2%.
